BioI'm a college graduate (of music) in my final year of grad school (flute performance and pedagogy). I'm not emo or anything of the sort-maybe just a little punk-bohemian.
While I'm a musician, I'm not a snob about it. I will fully admit that I'm an addict. I'm addicted to the very vibration and energy in the air that crawls along my skin while adding my own voice to the orchestra, feeling the ground shudder under me, the feeling of connection with an audience, the adrenaline high that lasts for an hour or more before the huge crash, and the intimacy of communicating your soul through such intangible means. Students can make my day. I love the way a child's eyes light up when they first play "Mary had a Little Lamb" and the moment when they realize that there is an entire world of music out there available to them if only they have the guts to dream.
The main reason I set up this account is to comment on stories I've read in other people's journals, so sorry if there isn't an abundance of posts in my journal.
